Mirella’s hear stopped when she began to hear someone else. He found her dog? He carefully headed in the direction of the voice. When she heard her dog’s bark, she quickened her pace even faster.
Filippe stopped pacing and turned to face the man. When the man towered over him and raised his voice, the dog began to bark angrily. Filippe backed away from her and bared his teeth. He barked loudly and warned the man to stay away from him.
“Filippe!” Mirella cried when her dog was in sight. She slowed down her pace and noticed the stranger. “Filippe!” she whistled, patting her thighs.
The Labrador glanced back and noticed his owner.

Danila turned and noticed the owner, smiling faintly. "Thank goodness! Is that your owner dog?" he asked, looking back towards the dog. Moving out of the way, he watched the dog to see if it would go see his owner. It was nice to see that someone was taking responsibility for this lost dog! And that it actually had an owner and was not a stray. That would have been troublesome if it was...
He stood there and waited patiently, hoping that he could go back to his daily ritual and same order of his schedule. This dog was messing it up quite a bit and he knew that later he'd be all out of sorts because his schedule was messed up because of a little dog.

Filippe started slowly toward Mirella before going at her in a slow trod. He reached her, sniffed her, and licked at her face as if to wipe the panic clean off her face.
Mirella smiled softly and stood up from her squat. She ran her hand lightly against the Labrador’s head and used her other hand to wipe the wet saliva from her cheek. She stared at the strange and smiled a little thank-you smile.
“Thanks,” she said, her voice a little shaky. She quickly turned away and picked up Filippe’s dark blue leash hanging from his neck. Mirella was unsure of the state of her face. Filippe simply was glad to see her and could only sometimes notice whether something shook her world or not. Her eyes were slightly puffy and her nose a bit pink, but she went ahead and assumed that she looked just fine.
“Come on, Filippe,” Mirella said, tugging the dog in the direction of home.

Danila frowned as he watched the girl, noticing she was...upset? Something along those lines, he was never good with these things. All the girls he ever knew were quite dramatic and when they were upset, half the time it was because of something from the cinema, the other half was so they would get something out of him...Stupid girls.
"Are you okay, ma'am?" He asked softly, not sure if she heard him or not. He didn't want to bother the poor girl, she now had her dog and would go home and he'd continue on his day. He'd be thrown off, but he'd go on. But if she stopped, he'd be thrown off more...
He always did this to himself! Ruin his schedule when he meant to keep going.

Mirella lifted her gaze only for a moment. Embarrassed with the realization that he had discovered the state of her face, she dropped her gaze and breathed a soft breath.
Consciously she played with the leash to direct her puffy eyes and pink nose to it than the Asian stranger. “I am now,” she admitted quietly. She forced her lips upwards into a faint smile. She wanted to leave it at that but the civic responsibilities she would be neglecting…
She added a little louder, “I had fallen earlier, and a thief had frightened me to the point that I...well,” she cleared her voice softly, “cried from fright. I couldn’t do much against him since he had a weapon... Just be careful.”

"Oh no. That's not good. Did he take anything from you?" Danila asked curiously, tilting his head to the side as he watched the girl. Now he had to talk to her! His whole day was ruined, but that was okay. It is better to be a nice and good person to someone then hide away from the world. He learned that long ago...Maybe not to long. Sometimes the days blended into each other. It could have been centuries ago and he'd still think it was yesterday. Or it could have been yesterday and he considered it a millennium ago.
He watched the female, quite interested in the ordeal now. A villain had come, scared her, and she lost her dog. That was very rare and you didn't see that happen everyday!

Mirella wondered why he cared. She just warned him of the thief. Did he really want to risk his own person to get her stuff from him? He probably was long gone by now.
She shrugged a little. “He did, but it doesn’t really matter now. I’m going to report it to the police when I get back home. My phone was in my bag along with some other things. Nothing irreplaceable though.” Other than the pictures on her camera. She could take the pictures again, but they would not carry the same sort of enchantment. The pictures weren’t million-dollar photos, so she doubted the thief would find anybody to whom to sell the pictures. He may find a lucky buyer for her phone and the camera itself.
She tugged at the leash to get Filippe back on his face.
“I might find a little team to help me retrieve my stuff back tomorrow after classes.” She laughed. It was soft and had an awkward pause every second or two that ended up making her laugh sound ridiculous with gasps of hitched breaths when she lost it to a joke or something hilarious. “You know the police. They’ll just file the report and never touch it again.”

"Of course. They never really try unless it will get them farther in life. More money, more fame. Everyone is all the same," Danila nodded, watching the girl carefully. Poor girl got her stuff stolen. That was very unfortunate for her, but at least it wasn't him. Not that it'd hurt, but that would throw him off his schedule even more!
He offered a small smile and glanced around, placing his hands into the pockets of his pants. "So...er...I'm glad you have found your dog! He was quite an interesting fellow! I hope you have a good night and everything goes well with your purse and belongings," he offered, pulling his hands out of his pockets and offering a small wave before he turned the other direction and began to walk.
He didn't know what he'd do next. Go home? Maybe go somewhere else and look around. The day was already thrown off completely so it didn't matter.

Mirella offered her own wave and looked down at Filippe. She was glad he did not bite him or anything. She walked him the other direction, back toward the University and to the safety of her dorm room, before Filippe decided to run off and try to bite him.
She was working on her own training as well as training Filippe to behave correctly. Sometimes he flipped out on her, but he had become rather predictable thankfully. The dog stayed close to her side and kept looking side to side to keep watch of anything that may be a danger to him and his owner.
Mirella definitely was spacing out a bit more. She wondered where he had seen his face before. He seemed familiar, but she could not quite recall from where.

Danila continued on his way, glancing about as he headed towards his place. He could read some more tonight, maybe. Or maybe he could just go do some form of research or work or homework. He had so many options of things to do that he couldn't even decide! It'd be so hard.
Maybe he'd look into recent break and enters or thefts that happened around the city. That was quite plausible. Maybe not. He would see what he could do, since he would be alone and able to do anything for quite a while.

:: I don't think they'd come across each other again that evening. Want to skip to day (or evening if Danila can't go out during the day? )?

Mirella had a pencil in her teeth, tucked behind her ear, and waving to and fro between her pointer and thumb as she waited for her friends to be relieved from their classes and join her at the lunch table on the wooden pavilion. She had a list of goals in her other hand. She tried to wittle them down to a few so that a lot of young adults could track down the thief without much time wasted.
Her friends had things to do, parties to attend, grandparents to visit. She couldn’t waste their time more than she needed just to get her belongings back.

Danila made his way into the cafeteria, looking for his table. He always sat at the same table, with the same few people. That's just how things were these days. Same schedule, everyday. He loved it! Order was key to success for him and yesterday had thrown him right off.
But everything was back to normal now. So he made his way to his table and found his seat, simply staying there quietly as he waited for the rest of his table to join him.

Dorothy Sanders set a plastic bowl overflowing with leafy green vegetables on the table just opposite of where Mirella sat. She plucked a bright red tomato, halved of course, with her dark blue painted nails and popped it into her small mouth. Her eyes were small and always had a sleepy look to them whether she was really sleepy or not.
“You’ve officially been tagged. Go get your food,” Dorothy said, smiling a little. “The Broiler has your favorite taco today. “ By those simple words Mirella was up from her seat. The pencils in her possession clattered against the wooden table.
Mirella headed to the cafeteria with a brisk pace. She nearly trampled over people in order to get to the Broiler. Though her attention averted briefly in the direction of the stranger she had encountered the night before. She glanced quickly at the ever growing line to the Broiler, and she decided that it would be best to talk to him now. He may be gone by the time she got her food.
She walked over to the student or teacher and pulled the seat out a little. “You look a little lonely,” she smiled, sitting on one of her legs and leaning forward on the table. “Are you a teacher?”
